1.Another trip abroad this year is out of the question.

2.There's room for another one if you move up a bit.

another的例句:We're going to have another baby(我們又要有一個(gè)孩子)。

如果another后的名詞有數(shù)詞或few修飾時(shí),則也可接復(fù)數(shù)名詞,如:another few days.(另外幾天)、another five chairs.(另外五把椅子)

如: Another two apples are bought by me

1. another可視為由“an+other”構(gòu)成,但總是寫成一個(gè)詞,不能寫成an other;其后一般只接單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞,不接復(fù)數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞。

Don’t say another word.

Let me have another cup of tea.

That’s another Story.

Give me another cup. This one’s cracked.

If I were you, I should get another lawyer.

Give me another (one)。

Give me the other (one)。

2. 在通常情況下,another 后不能接復(fù)數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞,但是若復(fù)數(shù)名詞之前有 few 或數(shù)詞修飾,或不可數(shù)名詞之前有 piece of 之類的單位詞時(shí)等,則可以與 another 連用。如:

I could go on for another two hours.

I need another few days before l can make up my mind.

One (boy) wanted to read, and another wanted to watch TV.

One day he wanted his lunch early, another day he wanted it late.

4. 習(xí)語(yǔ)one after another意為“一個(gè)接一個(gè)地”“相繼地”“依次地”,在句中主要用作狀語(yǔ)。如:

Planes took off one after another.

One after another all his plans have failed.

One after another began to choke, and at the end all the women were weeping.

5. one another 與 each other:兩者均表示“彼此”“互相”,原認(rèn)為 one another 用于三者或三者以上,each other 用于兩者,但在現(xiàn)代英語(yǔ)中,兩者常可換用。

We don’t always agree with one another [each other].

They spoke to one another [each other] in a very friendly manner.

They often stay in one another’s [each other’s] house.

Those two are always copying each other’s [one another’s] homework.
